The empty lot had been set up for the service. Manuel Diaz explains the significance of the various items in the box: a Bible, the basis of the mission's faith, the hymnal, the praise of the believers, a scroll with the names of the founding members, and peso coins to signify the prosperity of the mission. Pastor Eucepio begins the service. The church secretary, the pianist, and a pastor from a neighboring congregation look on.
